I love online sex toy shopping so much. The sites are a lot less seedy than your average porn store, and a lot cheaper too!
Not only that, but you don’t need to worry about the wrong person seeing your car outside.
Usually, if they’re seeing your car outside, they’re also going in there for something lewd, but I digress. Who wants the trouble? Just order online!
However, online shopping opens up other privacy concerns. You have to use a debit card or a payment app.
You can’t just use cold, hard cash so quickly. And if you live with family or have nosy neighbors or roommates, you probably don’t want to see a dildo on your front doorstep.
That’s why I wanted to examine Lovehoney’s shipping and delivery policies and ask, “Is it discreet?” Let’s find out.

What Does Lovehoney’s Packaging Look Like?
Lovehoney will send your packages in a plain brown box. There’s no fancy decorating outside or anything else noteworthy.
So, it will look like a boring package to the average viewer. Also, the shipping label will be from a company called LH Trading.
In other words, no one will know who it’s from unless they’re super nosy and decide to Google it!
Note that depending on what you order, the packaging may be bigger or smaller or may come in a large envelope instead of a box.
More on that later in this post. But regardless of what you order, it will be in a plain box, with no unique markings or branding.
Is Lovehoney Packaging Discreet?
Yes, Lovehoney’s packaging is completely discreet. Again, if someone tries to be Mr. or Ms. Internet Detective and look into who LH Trading is, that may be a problem.
But if someone is that nosy, then you have other issues.
Again, there is no labeling or indication of what’s in the box. So, as long as your neighbors or roommates don’t tear open the packaging, you should be good.
I’ve ordered packages when family is over, and they just brought them to my kitchen table for me. While I felt embarrassed inside, I was glad they didn’t know what was in there.

Shipping Labels and Privacy
Let’s talk a little further about the shipping label. Besides saying “LH Trading,” they will have a vague address in Georgia if you’re a US-based customer.
Many people will assume LH Trading sells boring office supplies or some other boring item.
You’ll also get a tracking number. Besides that, the shipping label is very generic and completely discreet.
The shape and exact wording on the shipping label will depend on the shipping service you use.
For example, a USPS label will give the tracking information. Luckily, if someone decides to look up the tracking number, USPS will not explain what is in the package.
What Size Boxes Does Lovehoney Send?
The package size is also an essential factor. You may live in a place where the mailboxes are tiny and there’s no alternative place the mail carrier can deliver the package to.
While your package will always be discreet, its exact size will differ depending on what you order.
They also make it simple to unsubscribe if you’re tired of receiving emails from them.
For your standard order, you will get an item in a small, brown box. However, if you have a larger order, the box may be custom-sized to fit everything comfortably.
Meanwhile, if you order a small item, like a condom, you will be sent your items in an envelope. These envelopes are plain and gray, meaning they are very discreet.
What Will I Find Inside the Box?
Inside the box, you will, hopefully, find the products you ordered in their packaging. When you do take out your goodies, there may be a slip or receipt inside.
Usually, it’s a coupon, and it will say “Thank you for shopping at Lovehoney,” or something to that effect. Some receipts may have a blurb about sexual happiness.
So be sure the box is completely empty before throwing it out!
No biggie, as the receipt is tucked away discreetly inside, but you don’t want it to fly out when you put it in the recycling bin!
What if I’m Not Home When My Lovehoney Order Arrives?
This question depends on which postal service is delivering in your area, how they deliver packages, and if you have delivery preferences set up with them.
In other words, they may drop the package in your mailbox or at your doorstep or leave you a slip saying they missed you.
The latter may be especially true if you live in a neighborhood or home where delivery may be dangerous.
The order is in a discreet brown box, and I live in a good neighborhood, so I personally don’t care too much if they deliver the package when I’m not home.
But if you have concerns, I’d say talk to the post office responsible for delivering the package to you.
You may be able to arrange pickup at the post office, which can add an even more significant layer of discretion.
Or you may arrange that the receiver and no one else must sign the package.
What Do Lovehoney Billing Statements Look Like & Are They Discreet?
If you have a shared banking account or payment processor, you may not want the billing statement to say “Lovehoney.” So, are billing statements discreet?
If you’re using a debit or credit card, you’ll see a charge from LH Trading, just like you see on a package.
However, some payment methods are less discreet than others. For example, I use PayPal a lot. PayPal has LH Trading as the vendor name.
So far, so good. But then, the profile picture their PayPal uses is the Lovehoney logo! How have they not fixed that?
Furthermore, the seller’s info section in the transaction has a Lovehoney email address.
No one is snooping around my PayPal unless it’s my boyfriend, who is all good with my Lovehoney purchases, so I don’t mind it too much.
But if you need to be as discreet as possible, I wouldn’t go with PayPal.
What Payment Methods Does Lovehoney Accept?
Lovehoney accepts several payment methods, including:
- Major credit and debit cards.
- Google Pay.
- PayPal.
- Klarna.
Google Pay and PayPal allow for a convenient way to pay that doesn’t require you to enter your credit card information, and Klarna is great if you want to finance a big purchase.
That being said, PayPal also has its own financing options as well, like PayPal Credit.
These options are great for when you want to try the hottest Lovense product without spending money.
With PayPal Credit, in particular, you pay no interest if you spend more than $150 on your order and pay it off within six months.
In addition, Lovehoney may add other payment methods in the future. While I don’t quite see a world where you can buy sex toys with Bitcoin yet, it may be a possibility down the road.
I’m not a crypto person, but more options are always good.
What Are Lovehoney Shipping Options?
When you order your products, you have several shipping options. Let’s look at all of them.
Super Saver
Super Saver is their cheapest shipping method, with packages taking 4-6 days after shipment. The cost for Super Saver on my end was $6.99.
However, with a purchase of $49 or more, this shipping option is free! In my opinion, this shipping method is good for most people.
Four to six days really isn’t a long time.
Expedited
This shipping option is for when you don’t want to wait too long. Expedited packages usually arrive within 2-4 days. I was charged $9.99 for this one.
This option may be good if you’re ordering something you can’t wait to try.
Next Day
What if you can’t wait at all? Next-day shipping is for you. This option costs $25.99. I’m not going to pay that much for shipping, but some may find it useful.
For example, maybe you’re a big influencer who needs the product ASAP, or you’re about to go on vacation and you need a dildo, stat!
How to Get Lovehoney Free Shipping
I think Amazon Prime has spoiled us all because no one likes to pay for shipping. I’d rather pay $50 for a product than $45 with $5 shipping.
Yes, basic first-grade math tells me that this is the same price, but psychology tells me they are very different, dang it!
If you spend $49 or more, you get free shipping. It’s pretty easy to spend that much or more with Lovehoney; a dildo with enough bells and whistles will get you past that threshold.
However, please note that you get free Super Saver shipping, which means it will take 4-6 business days for you to get your order once it’s shipped.
If you want faster shipping, you still have to pay.
Sadly, Lovehoney doesn’t seem to have an option for free expedited shipping yet. I would love it if you spent, say, $100 or more and got free faster shipping. But I’m not complaining too much!
Besides meeting the minimum, Lovehoney may have sales and discount codes to get you free shipping, but I’ve yet to run into one.
Again, however, it’s pretty easy to spend $49 or more shopping at Lovehoney. Even if you’re shopping during a clearance sale, it can quickly add up!
Does Lovehoney Send Mail and Is it Discreet?
One thing I hate is when I buy a product from a company one time, and they then flood my mailbox with junk.
Plus, with Lovehoney, you may not want to get a flyer for a vibrator in your mail. That post officer is judging, or maybe they think it’s a good deal.
Luckily, Lovehoney does not do this! I’ve yet to receive any junk in the mail. The only junk I get is credit card offers and other things that go into the shredder.
Does Lovehoney Send Emails and Are They Discreet?
Lovehoney has its own newsletter, and if you sign up, they will send you emails now and then about the latest products.
I think the newsletter is worth it. But you don’t have to sign up for them.
That being said, if you do make an order, you will receive a confirmation email as well as updates about your order being shipped, out for delivery, or delivered.
The emails are not discreet, telling you the name of the company and the items you ordered.
Therefore, I wouldn’t use your work or school email for this! Use an email you know won’t be checked by prying eyes, or mark any correspondence as spam.
If someone is really snooping through your email to the point where they go into the shadowy place that is your spam folder, they have problems!
Final Thoughts
By now, you should have figured out that Lovehoney’s shipping is as discreet as it comes. They always put all of your goodies in a plain brown box or envelope and use vague sender names.
There are a couple of concerns to worry about; you need to be sure that you take out the receipt or coupon whenever you open your box.
Not only that, but PayPal could be a little more discreet with the purchases, with the seller’s profile pic showing the Lovehoney logo.
Besides that, Lovehoney is completely discreet in most situations.
Also, I just want to say that I can’t wait to see a world where you don’t have to worry about this stuff. I feel that if you see someone has ordered a sex toy, or if you see them at an adult store, you should mind your own business.
