Lovense is back with a new toy—an upgrade to an old favorite. The Lush 4 was recently released, and as a fan of the original trilogy, I was excited to see what it has to offer.
The Lush lineup hasn’t disappointed me yet, but there’s always the chance that Lush makes a dud product. So, was it worth it?
Spoiler: It was. The Lovense Lush 4 improves upon the Lush 3 in many ways. From its rapid charging to being more ergonomic, Lovense manages to outdo itself with each model.
Of course, if you own a Lovense Lush 3, you may wonder if it’s worth the price of an upgrade.
Or, you may be reading this with no familiarity with any of the Lushs. Don’t worry; you don’t need to buy the first three to understand what’s happening in the fourth.
All jokes aside, I’m looking at the Lovense Lush 4, showing its features, and comparing it with its last iteration.

What Is the Lovense Lush 4?
The Lovense Lush 4 is a G-spot vibrating egg with a long tail.
Like most Lovense products, it uses Bluetooth, so you can control its vibrations from a distance, create your own patterns, sync music to vibrations, and much more.
As you may have guessed through the power of deduction, the Lovense Lush 4 is the fourth incarnation of the Lush series. Lush 1 came out in 2016 after being crowdfunded on Indiegogo.
With so many crowdfunding scams, I’m glad there’s a company that delivers! The Lush 2 came out in 2019, and the Lush 3 in 2021.
So it’s been around four years since the Lush 3.
One reason for the long wait may be that the Lush 3 was already so good they were racking their brains trying to figure out where to go from there.
The Lush 4 has a better ergonomic design, cool LEDs, and boasts fast charging. It can go from empty to one hour of battery life in just five minutes, which is incredible.
Key Features and Innovations
So, what are its features? If you’re new to the Lush world, you may wonder what’s included.
And if you have the Lush 3, you may wonder what’s new that makes the Lush 4 better.
So, what are these fancy new features that the Lush 4 has to offer? Quite a bit!
User Experience: Comfort and Design
The Lush 4 is made from comfortable, body-safe silicone. There’s not too much of a design change from the Lush 3, but the bulb is a little less round.
This lets the bulb fit much more comfortably in you.
The Lush 3 was already great because of its comfortable fit, but everyone’s different, and some folk had the bulb fall out when they needed it to stay in the most.
The Lush 4 is more of a one-size-fits-all approach.
Powerful and Intense Vibrations
The Lovense Lush 4 manages to give even deeper vibrations. For such a small thing, it can deliver some intense vibrations that will make you reach your climax even faster.
Or, you can change it to be more subtle if you’re in it for the long haul! There are so many options to choose from, which I love.
Bendable Tail
The Lovense Lush 4 has an adjustable tail, meaning you can set it to the position that provides the most comfort.
Previous models have had a tail that stays in place, which works for most people. But again, if your body type is a little different, this is a great option.

The Lush 4 boasts up to six hours of battery life. Even if it takes a while for you to come, you’ll get there with the Lush 4.
Obviously, the battery life will depend on your settings, but even if you have it going full blast, it will last a good while.
So many vibrators don’t last for a good time, like a bad boyfriend. Or girlfriend. I can’t blame it all on the guys.
Noise Level: Discreet Usage
The Lush 4 has between 36- 42 dB of noise, which is as loud as a whisper or a library.
This is great if you want some discreet public fun or if you share a room with someone who you’re not romantically involved with.
Some toys can sound like a buzzsaw going off.
I can’t think of anyone who likes a dildo loud, though I guess those folks do exist. But I know plenty of people who wish their dildos were quieter.

My boyfriend has one of those super fancy gaming PCs with those LEDs that look so cool. But you don’t need to spend thousands to get that.
One of the more interesting new features of the Lovense Lush 4 is the LED on its tail. Whenever you change vibration intensity or settings, it changes color.
It has nine color themes, five single-color themes, and, of course, many, many combinations.
This also makes it fun to play in the dark, as the tail’s glow may be the brightest thing in the room.
Rapid Charging
The worst feeling is when you are ready to use a toy, only for the battery to be dead.
Now, I’m someone who always charges beforehand, but sometimes, the magnetic charger may have gotten dislodged, or a battery vampire snuck into my room and sucked all the power out.
And when you try to plug it in for a few minutes, you get maybe a minute or two of vibration.
Lovense 4 has fixed this issue. In just five minutes, you can have up to an hour of playtime, and a full six hours take around 50 minutes.
The word “Revolutionary” is often used in marketing, but rarely is it really a revolution. But just think:
Only a few years ago, five minutes would have given you maybe a couple of minutes of playtime. We really are living in a revolution.
What Comes in The Box?
I’m always curious to know what’s in the box. As mentioned, Lovense will deliver your toy in a discreet brown box.
Inside that box is… another box! This is Lovense’s packaging, and it contains many goodies.
First, the toy itself. That’s obvious. If there’s no toy, I’d be contacting customer support immediately. The USB charging cable is also included.
Like most Lovense toys, this uses a magnetic USB charging cord that snaps on. These are nice, but they’re also easy to knock out, so beware.
Also, what’s included is a user manual. There’s a big QR code on the front as well, so you can access the digital manual at any time.
Look, I’m mixed on QR codes, but I also lose my manual often, so having a PDF I can download is a plus.
And that’s pretty much it, though. I don’t know what else a toy like this could include. Maybe a free snack pack or something.
Maybe that’s going to be in the Lush 5.
Is The Lush 4 Waterproof?
The Lush 4 is rated IPX7 waterproof, so it’s safe to use while swimming, bathing, or showering.
However, keep in mind that Bluetooth connections may be unreliable when submerged or in water.
How to Use Lush 4 as Long-Distance Lovers? Connecting with Long-Distance Partners
The Lovense app has many unique features, and one of the best examples is connecting with a long-distance lover.
You know the pain; you may be in a long-distance relationship, or maybe your partner is on a business trip.
Whatever the case, you don’t have your partner next to you. Luckily, they can still control the toy and have discreet communication with you.
When you open the app, you’ll see an option on the bottom tab that says “Long distance.” Here, you can connect with other users who have an account.
You can send messages and video chats and let your partner control the toy. It is a consent-based system, so you have to give the partner permission, which you can retract at any time!
The app is continuously updated, so its functionality may change if you read this in the future.
Don’t blame me if they moved the long-distance option. I never understood why things can’t just stay where they are.

With the Lovense Remote, you can create your own patterns, download patterns other users have made, and have your Lush 4 vibrate to music and sounds.
The app is constantly adding new features to keep it fresh, which is what I love about this brand.
Although the price of a Lovense toy is a little high, you get what you pay for. You get limitless options that will keep you coming back (both types of coming) again and again.

Because the Lush 4 is controllable via phone, it’s excellent for those in BDSM. The master puts the egg inside their partner.

Comparing the Lovense Lush 4 to the Lush 3
If you have a Lush 3, you may be asking, “Is it worth upgrading?” These toys are expensive, and you can’t exactly trade in your old model for a newer one! Or sell it used on eBay.
That listing would get shut down fast! Let’s look at the differences between the Lush 3 and the Lush 4.
- The Lush 4’s clitoral arm is slightly bigger and shaped like an arrowhead instead of a rounder shape like the Lush 3. This is basically more ergonomic for your special parts.
- Perhaps the Lush 4’s most significant feature is its rapid charging. After charging it for five minutes, you can play for up to one hour. So, if you forgot to charge beforehand, this is a lifesaver.
- The clitoral arm has a piece that lights up with LEDs. Gotta love a good light show.
- The Lush 4’s neck has more thickness and can flop around a little more.
- The tail of the Lush 4 is more adjustable, while the Lovense Lush 3’s tail is a little more stationary.
- Of course, the Lush 4 is a little more expensive, but not by much. Depending on where you shop, the difference may be $10.
So, if you have the Lush 3, are satisfied, and lack the funds to upgrade, I don’t think you’re missing too much.
The rapid charging is nice, but the Lush 3 also has a good battery life. Just be sure to charge it before.
I’d say wait for the 5 before upgrading.
That being said, if you don’t have either, I’d say go with the Lush 4. When you’re spending money on a Lovense toy, $10 isn’t going to make too much of a difference.
Plus, you can always wait for a sale or discount.
Pros and Cons of the Lovense Lush 4
Now, let me break down the good and the bad of the Lovense Lush 4.
Pros
Rapid Charging: I can’t praise the Lush 4’s rapid charging enough! In the ideal world, we’d all charge our devices beforehand and give them a courtesy charge if they haven’t been used in a while.
But life is hectic, and it’s easy to forget. With the Lush 4, you just plug it in for five minutes, and you have a whopping hour of playtime.
LED Light: While the LED tail light isn’t absolutely necessary, it is a flashy feature that adds a lot of fun to the toy.
Comfortable and Filling: The toy is very comfortable but will make you feel full and stimulating. With a sex toy, you don’t want it to feel uncomfortable, but you don’t want it to lack, either.
The Lush 4 strikes that ideal balance.
Improved Ergonomics: The handle is shaped a little better and is easier to bend. That kinda stuff!
An Even Better Fit: These toys are designed to fit inside without falling out, but everyone’s different down there. Some can discreetly keep the toy inside all day, while others fall out.
This toy, therefore, has a bendable tail and a more ergonomic shape to achieve a better fit.
Cons
It’s Expensive: Okay, it’s not buying a diamond ring level of expensive, but like most Lovense products, it’s going to cost you over $100.
If you’re just getting into sex toys, you may not want to spend that much on one, and I don’t blame you one bit.
Luckily, there are cheaper alternatives, and I’ll discuss one in the next section.
It’s Not a Huge Upgrade: It’s been a few years since the Lush 3 came out, so some may have been expecting more. I suppose you can’t reinvent the egg, just improve on it.
That being said, if you just bought the Lush 3, you probably don’t need to upgrade unless you always need to have the latest and greatest thing.
Honestly, there aren’t too many complaints. I did look at other sites, and they were reaching for things to complain about as well.
One site said that one of the cons was “It doesn’t thrust.” Well, yeah, it’s not a thrusting vibrator. I don’t expect my vibrator to be like a Swiss army knife.
But I get it; we all have articles to write and have to give it some kind of con since nothing is perfect.
Alternative Options in the Market
What if you’re sold on the Lush 4, but you want to shop around a bit? Let’s look at some other alternatives you may want to check out.
The Lush 3
The previous Lush model still holds up. If you skipped past my comparison between the Lush 3 and Lush 4, first off, how dare you!
But second, scroll back up and look at the differences. There are several differences, but besides the LED and rapid charging, it’s all ergonomics.
With that said, the price for the Lush 3 isn’t that much different, but as they phase it out, you may see discounts.
We-Vibe Jive
The Jive is We-Vibe’s egg vibrator, and it has a similar shape and design to the lush.
Like Lovense, We-Vibe has its own app, which lets you control the speeds and intensities through your phone.
Obviously, there are going to be differences with its shape, vibrations, and app features, but they are quite similar. The Jive does not cost much less than the Lush 4.
Lovehoney mon ami Remote Control Vibrating Love Egg
Finally, we have Lovehoney’s take on the egg vibrator. This one is bendable, has an ergonomic shape, and has magnetic USB charging.
However, it lacks Bluetooth capabilities. Instead, you use a remote to control it like how nature intended.
All jokes aside, this egg vibrator is half the price of the previous two, so if you don’t want to spend too much, then there you go!
It has decent quality for the price, so give it a try!
Conclusion: Is the Lovense Lush 4 Worth the Upgrade?
With that, that’s my look at the Lovense Lush 4. It’s been several years since the Lush 3, so I was interested to see what was new and ask, is it worth it?
The answer? The Lovense Lush 4 is definitely worth the price!
As I said earlier, if you just bought a Lush 3 and don’t have the money for the Lush 4, it’s not going to be the end of the world if you don’t upgrade.
However, if you’re deciding between the Lush 3 and Lush 4, or you’ve had that Lush 3 for a good while, then it may be worth it to upgrade.
It’s improved its design even further, hitting areas I didn’t think were possible. The LEDs are a nice touch, and the rapid charging is a lifesaver.
So yes, it’s a great toy. I’m always excited to see what new products Lovense develops and what upgrades it offers to older toys, and this one has delivered.
