Lovense Dolce Vs Flexer – Which Clit Stimulator Should You Choose?

Last Updated on August 26, 2024 by Kelly

Are you bored with normal masturbation? You need a good Lovense toy to spice up your night. But these toys are expensive, so you can only choose one.

You may look at the Flexer and the Dulce, two pink toys designed to hit the G-spot and clitoris. Which of the two is better? I’m here to answer that question.

I’ll be comparing both in several categories. I’m looking at their pros and cons, and comparing both in the features department.

There’s one clear winner, but you’ll have to read more to learn which one it is.

Lovense Dolce Overview

The Lovense Dolce is a clitoral and G-spot vibrator that focuses on comfort. Some toys don’t fit well inside of you because of your anatomy, but the Dolce has a solution.

The neck is entirely adjustable to hit both the clitoris and G-spot. This feature gives the Dolce quite a bit of flexibility and allows it to hit all the right spots without feeling uncomfortable.

The Dolce has dual stimulation, giving your clitoris and G-spot a one-two punch.

Both sides hit your delicate parts quite well to provide the best orgasm possible, which is always a nice little outcome.

Lovense Flexer Overview

The Lovense Flexer is a three-motor clitoral vibrator. One motor stimulates your clitoris, the other your G-spot. So, what does the third motor do?

The third motor moves the toy in a “come hither” finger motion. It aims to give you the feeling of being fingered when you don’t have an extra pair of hands.

Though some people have said that this is a great idea, the concept needs a little bit of work.

The Flexer is also designed to fit inside of you without dropping out, but you may have a different experience.

Many reviewers have reported it falling out, not staying in no matter what they do, and other negative experiences.

Pros and Cons of Both Toys

Both toys have some good things going for them! But also some things that may ruin the experience. Let’s look at some of them.

Pros and Cons of the Dolce

Pros

  • Powerful vibrations
  • Quiet on low levels
  • Adjustable hinge

Cons

  • May be too overpowering for some
  • Cannot adjust the length of the hinge, meaning it won’t fit all
  • The highest levels are a tad noisy

Pros and Cons of the Flexer

Pros

  • Three motors
  • Unique come hither motion
  • App support works well

Cons

  • Noisy!
  • Most folks will have a hard time keeping it inside of them

Comparison of Both Features

Now, let’s look at the features, then decide which is better!

Vibration Strength

How powerful is each toy? Let’s start with the Dolce.

Boy, is the Dolce powerful! On its highest settings, it’s like your delicate parts are being flooded with pleasure.

Even its lowest settings deliver quite a blow. It did not take me long for me to reach orgasm.

With that said, it is a little disappointing that the strength is too powerful. Sometimes, I just want to reach orgasm slowly. It’s not a race!

The Flexer definitely has the opposite problem.

It’s three motors instead of one, so you only get a fraction of the power. When I cranked the power up as high as it could go, I was left asking, “That’s it?”

Which is never a good question to ask.

So, I’m left with a choice. Would I rather have too much power or not enough? Personally, the former.

Winner: Dolce

Noise Level

No one likes a loud vibrator unless you’re a glutton for humiliation. In my experience, the Dolce wasn’t too bad.

The lower levels are discreet enough for you to bring on a date without the restaurant patrons looking at you funny.

Though, it does suffer on higher settings a bit. You will hear it! So if you like things to be intense, you may want to look elsewhere.

With that said, the Dolce is whisper-quiet compared to the Flexer. Even on its lowest settings, this baby sounds like a lawnmower outside your home at 6 AM.

Okay, maybe it’s not that loud, but it sure felt like it when I fired up the Dolce in the middle of the night while my boyfriend was asleep.

The Flexer is not a vibrator you take with you, and if you have a nosy roommate or live with family, you may not want it.

Winner: Dolce

Battery Life

Both are rechargeable toys, and the battery life is quite similar. Both have up to two hours of battery, with about 90 minutes to charge it to full.

With that said, the total battery life can depend on what settings you use. I tried both on medium and got about an hour and a half and some change.

On higher settings, a little over an hour.

So, the battery life doesn’t change much. Your mileage may vary on this one, depending on how you want it and the luck of the draw with how long those annoying things last.

I’ve had toys that lasted much longer than the average time, and toys that lived fast, died young. Well, until the next charge, that is.

Winner: Tie

Waterproof Capabilities

What if you want to take these toys on a spin in your tub or shower? Or, what if you’re going out in public with them inside of you, then a rainstorm happens?

Not only that but what if you don’t want to walk on eggshells when you clean your toy with water?

Luckily, both toys are IPX7 waterproof, meaning you can put them in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes without worry.

While both are the same rating, I tested both in the bath, shower, you name it. And yes, both are the same.

They worked just as fine, and thank goodness. I wouldn’t want the awkward conversation with some employee about my dildo being broken because of water damage.

Winner: Tie

Price

Here’s another category that I wanted to compare both with: the price! Lovense toys are known for being on the pricier end, so which is more expensive?

It depends on where you buy them from and what sales are going on.

On Lovense’s site right now, both are going for the same price, though the Dolce is normally slightly more expensive. Honestly, both prices are fair, so I’ll keep this as a tie.

Winner: Tie

Fit

How well does each toy fit inside of you and stay there? Now, this can ultimately depend on your anatomy, which can be subjective.

Everyone’s built a little differently. But the Flexer loses with most people.

If you research some of the reviews, most are complaining about the Flexer falling out. These complaints are despite the toy claiming that it is a comfortable fit.

Meanwhile, the Dolce is much more adjustable.

In my experience, it stayed in longer. It’s not the best in this department, as you can’t adjust its length, but in the battle of which fits best, there’s a clear winner.

Winner: Dolce

Short and Long Distance App Connectivity

Both toys have Bluetooth connectivity via the Lovense Remote app, so you may be wondering if there’s any difference.

The answer is, no, there’s not much of a difference. The Flexer and the Dolce both connect seamlessly.

Lovense has upped its game in recent years with how simple it is to connect your toys. Another thing I love about Lovense toys is that they can sync up, which is a nice touch.

Both toys come with short-distance controls. Near someone, you can control the strength of the vibrations, download new patterns, sync vibrations to music, and much more.

There are also the long-distance features. If your significant other is in another state or even country, they can still control the toy’s movements when you give them permission.

Lovense’s app also has discreet voice, text, and video chat. With their app, you can feel a little closer to your love regardless of where they may be.

I will say for both toys, be sure you have downloaded the latest version of the app! Lovense is always adding new features and patching out any bugs that may ruin your experience.

Winner: Tie

Aesthetics and Design

Both toys are pink silicone, but their shape is different. The Flexer is a new toy, and its head is a bit thick.

And not in a good way. You may find that the head is a tad uncomfortable and you may struggle to get it all the way in first.

Meanwhile, the Dolce has a much more aesthetically pleasing head and tail design. It’s not perfect; again, the toy won’t fit everyone.

But it’s a better fit than what the Flexer provides. The Flexer does not stay in at all. The Dolce did fall out a few times, but it’s a much better fit.

Winner: Dolce

The Main Gimmick

Finally, let’s talk about the main gimmicks of both toys. The Flexer’s gimmick is that it moves in a come hither motion.

It also has two separate motors for the clit and g-spot, but let’s face it, this is the most interesting motive.

Meanwhile, the Dolce’s main gimmick is that it’s adjustable. There are many vibrators similar to Dolce, but few of them can move like it can.

So, which does its main gimmick well? The Flexer’s movements look nice, but they are a bit noisy and feel uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, the Dolce is easily adjustable, fits nicely inside of me, and doesn’t change position.

It needs some work with how you can adjust the toy, but I think the Dolce is overall better.

Winner: Dolce

Which One Do I Like Most?

Both toys have their issues, but the Dolce is far more ironed out than the Flexer. I almost feel bad for the Flexer, because every time I write about it, I give it some criticism.

But you can call it tough love. It’s a toy I want to be good because I love the idea. But as it is, it needs some work.

The Dolce needs some work as well. I could see the Dolce 2 having more ways to adjust to fit people of all body types.

It also could provide weaker vibrations while keeping the strong vibrations a bit quieter. But as a first-generation toy, it does work quite well.

So yes, if you can only choose just one, you should go with the Dolce. The Flexer is a fun proof of concept, but it needs some work.

The fingering motion feels uncomfortable, along with the vibrator in general. Also, the toy is way too loud. I’m buying discreet sex toys, not jackhammers!

With the Flexer, I’d recommend waiting for a second version before you try it. I’m sure the second version will have its bugs ironed out.

Meanwhile, the Dolce is good as it is, but there’s always room for improvement.

Other Lovense Alternatives

Does the Dolce and Flexer make you say “I’m not feeling either?” No worries! There are other alternatives you can try, such as:

Lovense Lush 3

The Lovense Lush 3 is a favorite of mine. It’s a G-spot vibrator that has had three generations to perfect itself.

It’s ergonomically designed, has powerful vibrations, and has a long-lasting battery.

Lovense Ferri

Lovense Ferri is a wearable panty vibrator. If you’re someone whose panties get wet easily, don’t worry.

These panties are waterproof!

Overall, the Ferri is an interesting little contraption and may be good if you like something that’s going to stay on you at all times.

Lelo Ida Wave

This product is not a Lovense toy, but it does move in a fingering motion. This toy may be a good alternative to the Flexer if you like its idea but think the technology isn’t there yet.

It may be one worth checking out as well if Lovense has done you dirty in the past, and not the way that you like it.

These alternatives may be what you need, and there are many more that may hit that spot, too.
