Lovense is one of the biggest names in smart sex toys, and I get it.
If you want a toy with endless vibration combos, the ability to control the toy anywhere through an app, and overall quality, Lovense delivers.
I’m a big fan of their toys myself, and today, we’re looking at the Lovense Gravity.
I’ll be looking at its features, giving my experience, and seeing if it’s good for the price.

What is The Lovense Gravity?
The Lovense Gravity is a thrusting dildo. If you haven’t heard of this type of dildo, then you’re missing out!
These dildos can thrust inward and outward just like a real penis!
The Lovense Gravity also vibrates, which a real penis can’t do. I suppose it gets its “Gravity” name from its suction cup.
This suction cup is powerful and can stick to walls for a hands-free experience.
Features of the Gravity
The Lovense Gravity is full of features. Let’s look at some of them!
Thrust Depth & Vibration Strength
Lovense Gravity thrusts and it vibrates. We’ve established that. But how deep is the thrusting, and how strong is the vibrating?
The thrust depth is 1.2 inches. Usually, one inch isn’t exciting, but this dildo is already 5 insertable inches. That extra thrust is one that you’ll feel.
And it thrusts a lot!
The Gravity can go up to 140 thrusts per minute. How many thrusts it can achieve depends on your settings. It can go slow and sensual, or show how much of a machine it is!
As for its vibration, it’s a rumbly feeling. I like it, but it’s not outstanding. The thrusting is the real highlight of the gravity.
But some may feel a little disappointed.
Suction Cup
Most suction cup dildos have that cup permanently attached. But this one comes separately attached. The suction cup is screw-in, and it’s quite easy to attach.
So, what about its strength?
The suction cup is very strong. I found that it could attach well to most smooth, flat surfaces. And when things got a little wet, it kept its hold.
Best of all, in the event that my suction cup fails, I can look for a replacement and not have to order an entirely new dildo!
Multi-Functional App
This dildo is Bluetooth-powered and designed to work with Lovense’s app. Thanks to app control, this dildo works in close range, or even across the world.
Many long-distance couples rely on Lovense to experience sex as authentically as possible. Well, nothing beats the real thing, but it’s still nice.
With the app, you can control its vibration and thrusting speed. You can also choose between pre-made patterns and customized ones that you or other users make.
The app also lets you play music on it, syncing the vibrations to the tune. Like most technology, however, we go a little backward when we go forward.
For the most part, synching the toy with Bluetooth is pretty easy, but there are times when it disconnects and you have to restart the app and your Bluetooth.
It’s such a pain!
And since it’s an app, you have to update it now and then. I love the amount of options I have, but sometimes I miss the simple remote.
Durable and Waterproof
The Gravity is quite durable, as it’s designed for rough sex. If you drop it or it somehow falls off the wall, it’s no big deal.
The dildo can take it. But can you take the dildo? All joking aside, I did appreciate its durability, as I’m a klutz.
The Gravity is also IPX6-water resistant. If you’re new to waterproof sex toys, you may not realize that many sex toys have different waterproof levels.
An IPX6 rating means that the dildo can take high-pressure water streams from different angles.
In other words, you can clean the dildo off after use, or use it in the shower.
However, the dildo is not submersible. I would not dunk it in the bathtub if I were you. Some readers may find this disappointing, but it’s a complicated piece of machinery.
There are many dildos you can buy if you want the full waterproof experience.
Battery and Charging
Like any premium dildo, the Gravity uses a USB-rechargeable battery. This fact means you don’t need to worry about getting new batteries when the battery dies.
But what about battery life?
Like any vibrating toy, the battery life greatly depends on your settings and use. When used, it can hold about 3-4 hours worth of playtime.
On standby mode, the battery can last about five days. Finally, it takes about two hours to charge it.
The battery life means you’re given a fair head’s up when it’s time to charge. This way, you won’t be left with a non-thrusting, plain Jane dildo.
Packaging and Discreteness
Like any reputable sex toy shop, Lovense is discreet. When you receive your package, it will be in a plain, brown box with a vague recipient.
If you live with nosy family, roommates, or neighbors, you can worry a little less.
So, what’s in the box?
You get the Gravity dildo, obviously. The suction cup is separate; you need to attach it to the dildo.
This feature is a little nice, as you can use the dildo with or without it.
You also get a manual. Pretty self-explanatory. A magnetic charging cable is included, too.
Finally, you get a satin storage bag. Once you’ve used and cleaned the dildo, I highly recommend putting it in this bag!
How to Use The Lovense Gravity
Ultimately, I recommend you check out the manual for a complete guide on using this toy. But if you want a brief summary, here’s how to use the Lovense Gravity.
Unpack the Toy and Set it Up
The first step is to take the Lovense Gravity out of its packaging. Screw the suction up on, and then ensure it’s fully charged.
The charging port is near the base. Thanks to magnetic charging, it’s simple to ensure that your toy is charging.
While charging, make sure the Lovense Remote app is downloaded on your phone. If you already have the app, make sure it’s updated to its newest version.
Turn it On and Sync it to the App
Now, press the on/off button and hold for 3-5 seconds. The toy will vibrate once to tell you it’s turned on.
Now, open the Lovense Remote app. You’ll notice a chain link icon near the top right. Tap that to add the toy. Ensure your Bluetooth on your device is turned on.
Clean Before and After Use
Even when it’s fresh out of the packing, you don’t know where that dildo has been! So clean it!
Because the Gravity is made from silicone, all you need is some soap and water. You can also purchase an antibacterial toy cleaner.
Once you are done with the toy, let it dry, and then put it inside the silk bag.
Store the Gravity away from other silicone toys that you may have.
Use Water-Based Lube
You should always use lubricant with your Gravity. However, you should only stick to water-based lubes.
Oil and silicone-based lubes may damage the Gravity, so avoid them at all costs!
Have Fun and Listen to Your Body
Feel free to experiment with different settings on the Gravity, but also pay attention to your body.
If the dildo feels too tight, loosen up with a finger or a smaller toy. Use plenty of lube. If the thrusting or vibration is too much for you, lower its intensity.

How much you’ll pay for the Gravity ultimately depends on where you purchase it from, and if there are any deals.
As of this writing, Lovense has the Gravity for $129 before shipping and taxes. Normally, the dildo goes for $259.
My Experience
Honestly, it’s hard to find many experiences of this toy online. I found a Reddit thread that was filled with people who got duds, or dropped theirs in the bathtub and it didn’t work.
Same with Amazon reviews. A product that is DOA is disappointing, but it’s also rare.
So I figured I wanted to give my two cents. Overall, I found the Gravity to be a decent thruster. I have had thrusters that were a bit stronger with the thrusting power, and toys that buzzed more.
Also, the toy is a little loud for how much power you get. However, what shines is its controls and its suction cup.
I love smart toys myself, even though I complain about the Bluetooth sometimes being wonky. The limitless options you have give this toy plenty of reuse
I swear, that suction cup would stick on its surface even when the world is ending. The cup only comes off when you want it.
Another thing I love is that the cup is detachable. There isn’t any reason why I need to remove the cup, but if you need to, you have the option.
Also, I’ve only used this toy for vaginal use so far. I’ve achieved some amazing orgasms, with the thrusting never disappointing.
So far, I haven’t tried anal, but I’ve read this toy isn’t for anal use. If you want an anal toy, you may want to look elsewhere.
Finally, the battery life. So far, the toy hasn’t died on me without warning. Even when I go as intense as possible,
I find the battery holds its own quite well. This is a stark contrast to cheaper thrusters, which leave me disappointed.
Overall, I would recommend the Gravity, but there may be other toys you may want to try. Let’s compare the Gravity with another popular thruster.
Lovense Gravity vs. The Velvet Thruster
Another premium thruster you may want to try is The Velvet Thruster. Let’s briefly compare these two toys.
- The Velvet Thruster is more customizable, You can choose different heads and colors.
- The Velvet Thruster has three buttons instead of the Gravity’s two. However, the Velvet Thruster has no app.
- The Gravity has three steady speeds, while the Velvet Thruster has six.
- The Gravity gives you more strokes per minute at 140 as opposed to 125 for the Velvet Thruster. However, the Velvet Thruster gives more strokes under pressure. The stroke length is 2.5 inches for the Velvet thruster, an inch more than the Gravity.
So, as you can see, both have their pros and cons. If you’re a thruster lover like me, you may want to grab both.
But each toy is expensive, so you may have to choose just one. Personally, I think the Gravity edges the Velvet Thruster a little, but that’s just me.
